For those who don't read the local newspaper, there is a small item in the latest CC report regarding the power struggle between the CCs and the Sheriff over the jail maintenance man.
The "new guys" voted to place him where he belongs, under the direct supervision of our Sheriff, while the "old school" voted to keep him under Dawn's supervision aka commissioners. Guess what? Hull cast the tie-breaking vote to keep this guy under Dawn's thumb. It probably would not even have gotten voted on except that George (seconded by Zempel) made a motion to right a wrong.
It would seem that Roberts County is "business as usual" with the county commissioners. Nothing has been changed with a majority being made up of the same old gang.
We need to think about upcoming elections, who will replace those 3 and maybe revive that recall petition that was discussed earlier.....

Nice post. I read that also in the minutes. Hull is power hungry, and dishonest. He told Franklin Nelson at last meeting that Cameron had not told them Grant Co States Attorney would be prosicuting his case when Neldon came whinning about it. When in fact Kerry had at the Feb 3rd meeting. Nelson was up there telling them they should look at the cases being prosicuted by court appointed attorneys and spending so much money on them. He also said he's on his 3rd court appointed attorney and plansto continue his DUI out for 6 more months!! I got this from someone in Pierre so know its fact.
I was at this meeting, Nelson also told them they should sit in on court and see whats going on. For why????? They going to try to tell Judge what to do also? GOOD lUCK. Also said they should talk to Sheriffs Dept. and Police Dept. to see who and why they are arresting . To many people arn't paying fines and going to jail he says and costing co. money. What Pray tell should the Judges do??? Turn them loose again? More crime more fines, longer in jail. Thats what jails are for not for making money. I don't know where anybody got the idea jails were money makers. Yet our Sheriff and Jail Administrator contribute a good
amount of money to the general fund. Claudia
We were going thru our notes of what we have overheard the 3 amingos say around the coffe clutch and in varios businesses. Quit interesting!! Hull has said dome tough things about our Sheriff. Which with all their trys hes still Sheriff and will continue to be long after those 3 are gone. One stood out which is Ehe commissionerd will run the jail when i'm done seeing to it!!!! Ya right, read the laws Hull. Sheriff runs the jail and the staff. You can having White under you means nothing as long as hes paid by the jail account youre out of it. Ask Pierre as we did. Your power play is not going to work. Thank God Gurtis is a good Christian man and knows the truth.
Any one notice Kays not sitting with Flemmer,Archer and the little group for lunch??? Is she now outside the little group?
