Jail Revenue to County:
$44,767 to general county fund from different agencies, work release, telephone cards
$14,281 to general county fund from grant written by Chad and Vince
$28,458 amount county saved by not sending juveniles to other facilities
That is a lot of money to be given back to county funds. Especially when you never hear the CC say anything about it. All you hear them talk about is how broke the county is? Where are the county records? They are considered public now so should be truly public....where are they ? And what do those records say?

Dept of Labor ordered county to pay overdue overtime hours to dispatchers, jailers & deputies. County wrote checks with no hours or amounts paid. Could this be because county sent a different set of figures to the state than what was supposed to be repaid? Why were employees made to sign forms that were supposed to be for correct names and addresses but were really releases for county so no further action would be taken against county for unpaid hours? Why didn't Auditor inform those signers of what they were signing? Why did Auditors office only allow the employees to see the line to sign, nothing more? Does the Auditor or CC really think this will fly? Do they realize how easily it will be to check the true figures and see who is really telling the truth and who is not?

Horton is out ashing for money. City already pays for theirs and he wants much more!!!! Who does he think he is? Does Hull send his "boy"out to do these dumb things??? Go noeing around other Sheriffs Departments and now asking for more money from other agencies. I agree, open the books and publish them on internet loke others. Jim
Dumb or Shady????? That is the question about Auditors office and overtime checks. Neither are acceptable by the taxpayers. Open records was voted on and signed by Govenor Rounds. So lets see them published for all to see. I'm sure employees would not care and it is taxpayer money!!!!!!
We up here in MN read the blog as Roberts county is "quite" interesting!!! I am a auditor. If we don't know how to do a check completly you are 1 Stupid 2 Hiding something or 3 Fired!!!! Never heard of such a lax job.
Hey those numbers add up to $87,506 for 2 months or $43,753 a month. Wow great going Vince and staff. See all we knew what we were doing when we voted Vice Owen in for Sheriff. He inherited the jail with all the problems and hes made it work. We knew if any one could it was him. You go man!!!!!
See my previous post under "Business as usual". Same things I commented on there. But CC's and auditor not about to comment on funds from jail or tell us where these funds are being used. I see and read comments from residents of other states and counties and they just can't understand the things that are and have happened. And I repeat, Vince, Chad and the jail employees are doing a great job and it is NOT up to them to support the entire county budget.
Same O Same O!!!!!! It will be this way untill election time and we delete the 3 mouths and auditor. I beleive that won't even wake those people up to the problems and embarressment they have caused Roberts County!!!!
What do the 3 Amingos want? $87,506 is a profit for the taxpayers as thats money they don't have to pay!!! We are very happy with what our Sheriff is doing now if we could just say the same about the 3 dummies and auditors office. The jail is not a business its to house inmates. Any money generated by jail and sheriff is gravy. Its enough the Sheriff and Deputies have furnish their own cell phones to use for business. Another cheap shot by the 3. Wow when they are gone we will get sdome dacent ones like George and Zimpel. Those 2 are not going to be sucked in to the games of the other 3. Thank God!!!!
We are waiting for Horton to come to our office!!!! We stand behind Sheriff Owen. Leave the man alone and quiet trying to run the Sheriffs jail. You control the check book and thats all. His staff is his business stay out of it. Come on over Jorton we have words for you!!!!!
If county needs money why dont they raise taxes or let the people vote on an opt out. People of the county need to realize we have to pay more taxes to keep our county afloat. Its our duty. I'll sure gladly pay my share and I pay good taxes already. I don't blame the jail because the county voted to have it and we needed it. Sheriff has done a fantanstic job of making it work after being dunped in his lap. They are contribuating more than their share. All Hull and his 2 co-horts do is give the Sheriff a hard time. We are very lucky this man has not told them to go take a hike because they would be shuting their jail down as they would lose the juvies and other contracts. I've talked to a couple and its bacause they know and beleive in Vince Owen and like what they see in Chad Ward. So get smart you guys before you 3 blow our county apart. And you Horton stay home and quit your snooping around. You are going to be told where to go. We laugh after you leave one of they many offices and it gets around. You've made yourself look like the fool you are.
I can't beleive you people in Roberts Co. don't band together, go to a meeting of commissioners and let those 3 have it. We would'nt put up with their crap for a minute over here. You have to close your jail you will still have expences plus more for transporting inmates around. You have to have Sheriff,Deputys and Dispatchers above all else. Wake up and smell the coffee. You got a good Sheriff let him do his job and support him. It sounds as if he took a dead horse and brought it to life!!!!! Jim
Grant County is going to opt out. They havn't had a opposition yet. So whats wrong with Roberts County???? It don't cost any thing to try it. No opposition you just do it. If residents are told the truth. Wow what a concept "the auditor and Hull.Horton and Roger N. telling residents the truth". People will see how much it will cost to close this jail down and start the milage,staff Stc to do that plus loss of revenue from the contracts already in place. Read the figrues!!!!! Look at other places to cut, try auditors office it takes 3 to do it??? Christy is a yes dog to Dawn and don't even(by her own addmission) know how to do checks. How did she come up with amount if she could'nt put in how many hours or at what amount???? CROOKED!!!!!! I think so. Horton go set on auditors lap and see. You and Hull are so power hungry you can't see what is right for our county.
