Town Hall Invitation

We would like to extend an open invitation to ALL Roberts County elected officials to step up and introduce yourselves please.
This is open to those who recently got elected to position, those who were named to one and those who have had the position awhile.

Please introduce yourself and tell us a little about you, your title or position, your intended changes or completed changes....what makes you "tick"?

We hope to hear from Tribal officials as well as County officials so we can get to know you a little better and maybe we can truly make this a united community , where we can all work together, with harmony at the forefront.

What a great idea. I do hope they will answer you. I have my doubts about some tho. It would be neat to hear what they plan on doing for the county.

And if they chose not to respond to this blog just maybe we could have a real "Town Hall" meeting, In Sisseton, Wilmot, Corona??? You name it. What a great idea !
I am sure a meeting location, acceptable to all, could be arranged. I will be there !!!

I don't know what Roger N. could say to redeem himdelf with alot of us farmers. He gave one of us poor advice and now their in trouble with the water board and the state. Hes going to cost this farmer some money. Keep your mouth shut Roger you're not as smart as you think you are!!!1 We have to suffer 2 more yrs of you then you are gone!!!

All of a sudden people are afraid to post comments. Forget it ancd post away!! I sign my name and you can if you chose to. Still think the town hall meeting would be good for the entire county. Anyone going to try to organize one?? I had suggested Wilmot, Corona and Sisseton but just pick a town. Not important but think a introduction of elected officials and their comments would be good for all. Get a good, un-biased moderator to handle and have a short question and answer period and a HUGE pot of coffee for all.

Hello folks. Right now we are getting the jail to a point that chad and I would be content with. We are bringing in money from other agencies and hopefully it continues to grow. But, this is still a sticky situation since you cannot predict how adults and juveniles will act from month to month.
When it comes to the county, I really do tell my deputies to treat all people equally. One of the main things I tell a new deputy is ( treat people nice ).
I'm open for a town hall meeting, I'm not afraid to talk to people.
vince.
ps. the door to my office is always open to the public. If you want to stop in and say hi, that would be great.

Thank you Sheriff Owen, You and Chad are doing a fine job, spoke to one of your staff and they said you are great bosses. They enjoy working at the new jail versus the old one even when they are really busy they said Chad and you pitch in and help. Not to many employers would do that, they would hust sit in their offices and bark orders. Nice to hear out here around Peever when the commissioner from our district tries to convince us how bad you 2 are. We'll get him out of there in 2 years if not sooner so ge'll leave you alone. Happy Holidays to you all at the jail!!! Jim

I'm still willing to have a town hall type meeting. It would make sense to have it in the evening for the folks who work during the day.
