Below is a preliminary local listing of the election results for Roberts County:
States Attorney: Kerry Cameron over Kay Nickolas
County Commissioner: Tim Zempel over Louis Voeltz...........Roger George over Larry Wanous
I pulled these from the SD Secretary of States homepage so I don't have the stats yet but hopefully this is what happened.
Sounds like we managed to CLEAN HOUSE! Yeah!!
I will put up totals when I get them as to how many votes each candidate actually received, but for now this is it.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote yesterday.

Well we will find out if Zempel and George follow Hull and Horton or if they think for themselves and stand with our Sheriff. We know Cameron will clean up the States Attorneys office and he even looks and dresses like a lawyer.
Kays secretary went ballistic at court house last nite when Kay lost!!!!! Wonder what Duane Sattler will do in 2 yrs when his wife loses????? We will get her and the 2 H's and Roger next one!!!!! Yes we are cleaning house!!!!!

That statement doesn't make a lot of sense. If they stand with the Sheriff they are not thinking for themselves either. Hopefully they won't stand with either one and will take it on a case by case basis. I am sure neither side is right 100% of the time.

actually, the county residents SHOULD run the county, not the courthouse workers or whoever exactly you are referring to.

All I was saying was that If you really want to change things around here then get off you butts and run for an office just like every other person...because sitting on this blog and writing ABOUT things that need to be changed isnt going to do ANYTHING!
Sorry to diagree but this blog has done alot of good. Many of us learn much on here. Keep up the great work Administrator.
