Overheard at a recent Commissioner meeting: "Chuck isn't playing with a full deck" This came out of the mouth of Horton by the way. He was referring to a recent article printed in the Sota by Chuck Floro.
Horton Hears A Who.....Who hasn't got a full deck Bobby? You of all people should leave that sentence alone.
Speaking of integrity. City, County or State. SD ranks 50th in Integrity in government. That's like at the bottom isn't it?
This is a very derogative statement about a business man or anyone by a commissioner in a public meeting and a prime example of no integrity in SD government.
Yet most South Dakotans possess high levels of integrity themselves, it just seems to disappear when it comes to government.
Leaving government out of the equation, South Dakota has a good reputation for integrity so what happens to those who become government officials? Do they park their integrity the same place they leave their honesty, their manners, their conscience?
All I've got to say is watch for an article in next week's Sota!

What a great Poet Administrator!!!! What a terrible thing to say about a highly respected newspaper man. Horton has no idea what the word integrity means let alone how to conduct himself as a gommissioner. As a gommissioner from another county stated. "we should hold ourselfs to a higher degree of integrity and set an example for the people we serve if we expact them to act in such a way!!! Well said Sir you should come to Roberts Co. and teach some of ours what the word means.
Man hes stupid. A public offical making this kind of remark is reprehensable to say the least. He needs to be out of there!!! Peever district please stand up and recall this man or something shut him up please.
Well be waiting for Sota, wonder what dumb and dumber also known as the 2 H's have done now?????? Or maybe it was the 3 Amingos!!!! Will be enlighting as usual. And oh yes its sure to knock integrity in goverment down a few more notchs.
Ultimate in integrity!!!! If you resd the paers you know goverment meetings of all areas are under sgrutny for integrity and following the rules of open meetings. With the 3 Amingos I gan see why SD is 50th. Bet they have contributed many minus marks toward integrty for SD. Think the wrong 2 were voted out and the 3 dummys stayed. Their districts should be proud. If I lived in Horton or Hulls district i'd move. I'd be to embassed to admit it.

You hear something every week about this commissioner. He also has a mouth out here in public. He says things that should never be said about other county employees. Thought no one could be worse than Hull has become but we were wrong this man is dumber yet. Who ever said dumb and dumber hit the nail on the head. Hope this all ends soon. We are the laughing county of the state. Hull and Horton and Roger the way it sounds all need to get out before they totally ruin us in the state.

I agree with post for Peever district to recall or something and get him out of there. 2 more years of him and Hull could destroy Roberts county in the State. You cant go any where now that you are not asked about those 2 and Roger N. and what they are trying with the Sheriff now. One thing it has done is unite all law enforcement behind Sheriff Owen!!! Thats good.

Our Sheriff and others have done a great job of uniting county, state and tribal law enforcement.There shouldn't be any difference in where you are standing when you are just a resident of Roberts co. Unity is what is best for Roberts co. but as long as whe have the three dipsticks it is going to remain a tough go for all concerned. Find those people with intgerty, un-biased either way,people who can and will think for themselves and get them to run for office, CC and other county offices. People we taxpaying, voting people can support and get it done!
